If you are on long term medication it may not be necessary to see your doctor each time you require a repeat prescription.
Please present your request in writing, usually presenting the computer printout, to our receptionists. You may order it in person or by post but not by telephone. Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope if you want it posted to you. Usually 3 working days notice will be required.
You can also order repeat prescriptions online via the link at the top of this page. Please ask at reception for a registration form. This provides all the information you need to register to use the Patient Access internet facility. We need to verify your identity at this stage, so please bring suitable photo-id (such as passport or driving licence) and evidence of your home address (such as a current bank statement or utility bill). Patients under the age of 16 cannot register themselves, however parents may register children under the age of 16.

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, practice pharmacist or practice nurse at least once a year to review their regular medications. The due date for your annual medication review should be shown on your repeat slip.
Electronic Prescription Service
What is the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)?
EPS is an NHS funded service in England. It gives you the chance to change how your GP sends your prescription to the healthcare professional you choose to get your medicines or appliances from.
What does this mean for you?
If you currently collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP you will not have to visit your GP practice to pick up your paper prescription. Instead, your GP will send it electronically to the place you choose, saving you time.
You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop.
You may not have to wait as long at the pharmacy as there will be more time for your repeat prescriptions to be prepared before you arrive. For more information about EPS ask your pharmacy or talk to us.
