Referrals: have you been referred?

Have you been referred?

What happens next?

Your referral is sent to the hospital. It is reviewed by the specialists’ team and added to a waiting list. The hospital manages the waiting lists not your GP.

Waiting times

Due to COVID, hospital waiting times are now very long. This means you might wait much longer than usual for an NHS appointment.

Hospital results & follow-up

Your specialist will discuss your results and follow-up with you. If you do not hear from them, please call the consultants secretary. Please do not ask your GP for hospital results. Royal Sussex County Hospital Switchboard: 01273 696955.
